Go Big

This summer, we have taken YIP to the next level on a national stage at three of our nation’s most prestigious universities (Northwestern University, University of Michigan, United States Military Academy at West Point), in three of our nation’s most dangerous communities to grow up in as an “at risk” young boy (Chicago, Detroit, New York City).

We are breaking down barriers in academics, leadership, life skills and football development as we reach for the Stars to make Stars from these economically depressed, education-resource challenged, high crime neighborhoods. We are developing real trust and real relationships between these prestigious academic institutions with their students, cadets and staff with those below the poverty line, in disadvantage environments from the nearby same communities. Bringing access, skills development in academics, athletics, and character from the haves to the have nots. We are crossing boundaries of race, creed, color and cultures to provide the trust and relationships to build from to make our community and country a better place.

YIP is a leadership development program, and we strive to provide each of our participants the courage and confidence to make the right decision at the right time for the right reasons under duress. We strive to give each one of them skill sets, discipline and support to graduate from High School to reduce dropout rates and increase graduation rates.  We have the very best in the nation teaching and reflecting Leadership, The United States Military Academy at West Point, The United States Marines, and a few of the most nationally renowned and celebrated college football coach in the nation, Jim Harbaugh and Pat Fitzgerald, with the University of Michigan and Northwestern University. We have the ownership of three of our oldest NFL franchises in full support of our programs- the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants with the San Francisco 49ers who have continually supported this program.  We have stepped up our programs to GO BIG and to BE BIG! We are winners, we are dream makers and we are changing our communities one boy at a time.
